Bybit Travel Rule: What to Do About Pending Verification

Pending Verification on Bybit may mean that you need to provide Travel Rule information about the sender, recipient or wallet. Open the transaction details and read the request. Correct the information for that specific transfer; sending the cryptocurrency again does not replace verification.
What the Travel Rule checks
The Travel Rule concerns the exchange of required information about the parties to a crypto transfer. In Bybit’s interface, this may include checking wallet information: where funds came from or where you are sending them. For example, the form may ask for the receiving exchange or the owner of a personal wallet address.
This is not necessarily the same request as identity verification or a source-of-funds review. If the exchange separately asks for statements and an explanation of where the funds came from, follow its message and the Source of Funds guide.
The process, fields and available actions depend on the platform serving your account, your region and the transaction stage. The language of a help page does not determine the rules for your account. The statuses below come from official documentation checked on November 1, 2026.
How to read the transfer status
| Status shown | Meaning and next check |
|---|---|
| Pending Verification | The withdrawal requires Travel Rule verification. Next: Open the request in the transaction history and complete or check the details. |
| No Match Found Yet | The receiving platform has not yet matched the recipient’s information. Next: Check the recipient details and status updates; this is not a final rejection. |
| Information Match Failed | The recipient information did not match the receiving platform’s records. Next: Check the name and other requested fields against the recipient’s details. |
| Under Review | The withdrawal request is awaiting review. Next: Read the details; this status alone does not identify a Travel Rule check. |
Submitting a transaction to the blockchain and verifying information are separate stages. If there is a TxID, use it to check the network transaction. If confirmations are complete but the balance has not been credited, contact the receiving service. In your own wallet, check the network and whether the asset is displayed. See the guide to checking a TxID.
Check the information before making another transfer
- Open the deposit or withdrawal history on the official website or app. Select the transaction and save the exact status, time and request number.
- Check the type of counterparty: an exchange or another crypto service, or a personal wallet. Do not choose an option simply to get through the form.
- Confirm who owns the address. For a personal wallet, provide the owner’s details as requested; for a company, provide the requested company information.
- For withdrawals, compare the recipient information with their account details. For deposits, check the sender and the service the funds came from. Ask the relevant party for details you do not know.
- Submit a correction if the form allows it, and follow the status of the same request. Keep confirmation that you submitted the information.
Different Bybit help pages describe different review stages and time frames. There is no basis for promising that every transfer will be completed within 30 minutes or 48 hours. Use the time frame shown for your particular transaction or in the applicable guidance.
If all withdrawals remain unavailable even though a specific transaction has passed Travel Rule verification, there may be another cause. Continue with the guide to Bybit withdrawal restrictions.
Can you cancel the check or return the transfer?
First check whether the transaction details offer Cancel, Retry or Refund. They serve different purposes: cancelling a request, retrying verification and refunding a deposit are not the same action. Availability depends on the stage. A missing button does not mean there is a universal workaround.
Do not guess a new refund address. Even if the interface offers a refund, check the supported network, address type and receiving service’s conditions. Returning funds to an exchange address may require additional information.
If the available action is unclear, ask support to confirm what is permitted before submitting another transaction. Do not assume that cancelling this check removes the requirements for your next transfer.
How to get a useful answer from support
A short request should help support find the transaction and see what you have already done. Use the structure below and fill in only details you know.
- Transaction: deposit or withdrawal, asset, network and request number.
- Status: exact wording, when it appeared and the time zone.
- Counterparty: service name or personal wallet, without secret credentials.
- Actions taken: information submitted or corrected, and when.
- Question: at which stage is verification held up, which details did not match, and what action is available now?
Send documents only through a verified Bybit channel. If responses contradict each other or the review does not move forward after the requested corrections, an assessment of the delayed transfer can help compare the status, requirements and correspondence.
Keep your information accurate and your account secure
- Information about transfer participants must be accurate. Do not misrepresent the wallet type or its owner.
- You do not need to share passwords, seed phrases or 2FA codes to explain the issue to an adviser.
- Sending another transfer or splitting the amount does not correct the information on an already delayed transaction.
